Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie is the spring training home of the New York Mets. The A.E. “Bean” Backus Museum and Gallery, a 5000 sq. ft. public visual arts facility, was established in 1960 by A.E. Backus, the preeminent Florida landscape painter, and a group of local art enthusiasts. On permanent view in the main gallery are more than 60 Backus paintings and original artist’s sketches.
Additional exhibition areas feature changing shows of artwork by contemporary artists.
